Tankzone is looking to be the brighter option then, vendors seem to be pretty thin on the ground. The website rctank.de looks good but do we know what shipping speeds are like for them?

interested in this one as it is in a scheme resembling desert camo allowing me to stick 131 on the side until I get an airbrush to properly repaint it. http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?c ... lc49teq754 and coming in at roughly £295 without p&p makes it a hell of a lot cheaper then the £489 that Tankzone are looking for including £10 for next day delivery. for what looks like the same model?

@ Shaun no I don't hate you for it I would rather have as smooth a transaction as possible and just get to enjoying my Tiger I thank you for the heads up

Christopher just a thought but have you spoken to Steve at WELSH DRAGON MODELS? he sells Torro Tigers although I do not know the specification. He is an absolute top bloke and if he can provide what you want he will and I guarantee two things, you will get a good price and you will never be cheated, He exports to Canada and their delivery service is awful but Steves regularly gets praised for speed and quality.Like I say just a thought. shaun

Dominique at rctank.de is a top bloke. I usually get orders from him in 3-4 days, and his customer service is brilliant. I am in the UK so no import tax worries from EU countries either.
I can recommend Steve at WelshDragon too, I will usually get anything I order from him in 1-2 days. Don't know about special orders though he might take a little longer to get something in if he does not hold it in stock. Again excellent customer service.

I had a look at Welsh Dragon they are the basic Tiger's. But having said that I will defiantly be using him for upgrade parts for sure :)

3-4 days sounds good from Germany - the Tiger in the link is the same offering as the Tankzone one isn't it?

Looks the same to me, just a different paint scheme, and no mention of the wooden storage box.

Excellent :) well it looks like the decision has been made a Torro full metal Tiger 1 from rctank.de

Would this spray be any good for the base colour of 131 when I come to do it? http://www.humbrol.com/paints/acrylic-s ... sultspage=

Tanks guys for all your fantastic help :)

Christopher if you go to TIPS & TRICKS, _PAINTING & WEATHERING you will find a colour comparison chart, It allows you to compare different paint makers colours against each other, I downloaded it and have found it very useful, so if your local hobby shop is out of the paint you want you know what is nearest. shaun

Thanks Shaun very helpful :)

Was browsing WDM and came across this http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/torr ... 1677-p.asp would prefer the green but its not in stock so I thought hey I can always repaint it at some point as its going to need a lot of work adding metal components.

Something to battle with the Tiger :P

One question though does anyone know if the machine gun sound always plays when the turret is moved? As I have seen this on quite a few videos

Christopher, My Tigers m/g only fires when I flick the switch on the top of the controller. By the way I do not know if you have the OWNERS WORKSHOP MANUAL FOR THE TIGER TANK, Its by Haynes and revolves around 131, both its original service and its present day activitys, being in colour and with the detail that their car manuals have it is a good source of reference. When I tell people I have it they think I am joking, got it off Amazon, amongst the authors is David Fletcher, curator at the museum, a good read. shaun

Thank you for the info Shaun I will definatly get the Tiger 1 Manual and the WW1 tank Manual :)

Well I have some bad news but all is not lost, the car decided to be stroppy and has as a result cost a few pennies to get repaired.

As such I cannot get the Tiger 1 so now will be getting the King Tiger as it is slightly more affordable. I will still be able to get the T34-85 so as not to have wasted Steve at WDM time as he has already been a big help to me.

This is the video I meant it is for the T34 -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhehhe0GhgA as you can see when you raise or lower the barrel the machine seems to be firing, is this how it actually is?
