Even if I replace everything with a HL/Taigen and upgrade it to some decent electronics I would still be ahead here compared to a Tamiya unfortunately. Hell, even the WD-40 cost twice as much apparently compared to the states (The smoker thread). White Tiger, what about a trip across the border ?

Tamiya would probably be idiot proof though.
Wow, I am glad I have purchased all my tamiyas now before I move to Nova Scotia!

Cheers
You lucky bastard.......Any Americans got a good deal going on an unbuilt one? lol!

Hey Eastern WTH ? Are you a closet Canadian ? It says your location is Williamsburg VA.......

The other problem is sales tax. In Ontario that's another 13% on top of the purchase price.

We can't afford Tamiya's in Ontario, Canada. That's why Mato is here in Toronto........ :D

Try 20% here in UK. Tamiya here range from £600 to £1000 the £600 been close to your 1000$can.

eBay is good to pick used tamiyas at half the price though.
