Question about the early Tiger :
On the outside, In front of the drivers View Port ....Where the Top and Bottom horizontal flash
plates positionable by the driver or where they fixed?
I have also seen images where there seems to be two small holes just above the top guard,
Was this an early or late Tiger addition and where they for added vision?
Thank you.

Re: Tiger Tank Drivers port
Hey Herr Fritz......
I you look at your picture closely, you will see two welded plugs where the small circular openings were on early production
Tiger's. With the Driver visor in the closed position , a pair of binocular "Fahrerfernrohre" drivers periscopes were
used to view through these openings. From January 1943 these were deleted and the two holes plug welded shut.
Hope that helps.

Thanks guys!
So did the bottom plate extend all the way down to the bottom of the port?
I wonder why the welded them shut?
