These are two models finished off today with final weathering. The Jagdpanther was purchased as all separate pieces (upper hull, chassis, plastic track, tools, spare track etc) and electronics were purchased separately (RX18, steel gears, smoke, speaker etc). Hull was filled, sanded, filler was added around the weld lines, primed, then given 3 colour camo, weathed and finally matt varnished.
StuG III was purchased as upper hull and separate Asiatam chassis, wheels and metal track. Electronics added separately and same finishing as the Jagdpanther.
Schürzen was scratch built for both tanks using photo references. Made from plasticard and backed with brass for rigidity.

How do you get the tracks like that?

Re: Heng Long Jagdpanther & StuGIII
Thanks Kye. The track on the Jagdpanther is the cheaper black plastic variety. Initially I laid it out flat and roughly painted on RailMatch enamel 404 Light Rust with a large bristle brush, getting into the areas between the links. Left this to dry for couple of days then dry brushed RailMatch 415 Oily Steel lightly along the main surfaces with the same brush. After this dried I also ran a bit of Tamiya Acrylic XF056 Metallic Grey across raised surfaces. Finally an airbrush spray of weathered mud (equal mix of Tamiya Khaki, Flat Earth, Deck Tan & Buff in 1 part paint to 6 parts thinner) over the lot.
Tracks on the StugIII are grey metal so I only airbrushed the weathered mud on them, nothing else required.
