How do mucca..

Post by Sangu1n1us »

Hi guys the names Mark

I live in Yorkshire just outside Leeds and Bradford and as far as RC goes....I'm a proppa N00B....and I LOVE Tanks......

I have been mildly interested in RC from a young age as my half bro did RC monster trucks and it was fun to see him messing about on field behind our house but alas I grew up and found myself playing with toy soldiers as I got addicted to Warhammer 40k so as you can tell 99% of my free money would go into my addiction lol.

I have only recently that I have gotten back into my love of tanks as I have been playing World of Tanks a free to play MMO based on tank warfare and Iv also started to build and paint more scale models as well.....and it was this that made me want to push into the whole RC thing......my first tank was a US Abrams all plastic with rubber tracks and cool as a learner tank (never been inside a tank but as for upkeep this is a good start) but I never really got behind this tank as it acted and looked like a toy....so....I looked for a upgrade and found the Taigen all metal tank and instantly feel in love and for about four years after that waited for vendors to get them in stock and for myself to get the funds and then on the 9th Jan 2013 I finally did it I got my Tiger tank and was Blown away by it until it had a altercation with some snow and lost.. 8O

I am still interested in RC tanks even tho I am having it hard with Nitrotek and I am looking to find a decent vendor to replace and continue my collection .

Cheers Mark

Welcome to the forum Mark, keep your chin up. I heard nothing but badness coming from that Nitrotek crew. If you want rock solid vendors, you can check the vendor forum on the site but I personally recommend Welsh Dragon and Forgebear, they are both on the site and in the UK. Once again welcome and good luck...

Hallo Mark, Derek is giving you top advice, as to Nitrotek they are a bit like a spider, they catch you, trap you, and play silly games and then leave you on your own. Try not to let this put you off this hobby, there really are a lot of top class dealers out there, I would certainly endorse Dereks choice of Steve at WDM and Dave at Forgebear, but you will I am sure find your own favourites. Keep asking the questions, we love answering them. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hi mark
Welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear of your tank woes :'(
My recommendation is to give up
On nitrotek & fix the tank yourself.
Their not worth a piss & you will only
End up winding yourself up in the
Process. Imho

Cheers for the warm welcome guys

iv been running things around and around in my head as of late about what to do.....send the tank back and get a refund, grow some balls and fix it myself (Hell iv been doing scale models for about 20Yrs now all that changes is it moves now).....as of now i am applying for a refund but i still have 20 days to play with.....but....i am leaning towards fixing it myself and have been looking at Welshdragon and seeing if i can pick up the right torsion arm (thats the bit that has brocken and the wheel can just be removed) but i need to have a word with the guys over at welshdragon to find out for certain which part i should invest in.

as for coming to Manchester for the meet once i get up and running i might look into it.
