Chunwai challenger 2.Off road for now!!

Post by Sydney »

I was having some difficulty programming the Futaba 6EX TX, but with a lot of help(thanks to anyone who
gave me advice),managed to get all functions running well, except one.I could not get the gun recoil to work.
Spent the whole day stripping the gun elevation and recoil system from the turret and tested everything out with an independent 12volt supply, the elevation and rotation motors work great, but the recoil
motor is seized up. I had it tested out just to make sure at a local electrical repair shop and my
findings were correct, the motor is F****d up.
I took pictures of the culprit and have sent them to Chunwai models(Daniel) and asked for a new one,
hopefully they will send me a replacement free of charge, as the tank is just two months old and i am
hoping will have some sort of warrenty on the recoil motor. Will keep the forum posted on what Chunwai
models intend to do.

Hello Sydney,

I hope that your problems with your two month old Challenger 2 gets resolved by Chunwai. I myself will be asking for some written warranty on this tank for a period of time, after all it's a very large amount of cash. I'm watching your updates.

Once you get all the bugs out, I would suggest running it and firing the cannon as mush as possible for the first 6 months to make sure it continues to work well, at least I would. I agree that some warranty should come with this tank. Good Luck.

I would think "Chunwai Model" will take care of you!

Chunwai have emailed me and said they will send a free and all postage paid 12volt recoil motor ASAP.
