Tiger "C" Hooks

Tiger "C" Hooks

Hey boys,

With accuracy being my main focus, would anyone happen to know if the "C" Hooks left the factory bare metal, primed (what color) or painted the current tank colors as per standing orders at the time. I have seen pics where the "C" Hook has been removed in the field and the red oxide primer is visible meaning they are mounted prior to receiving the field gray or dark yellow at the factory. Any ideas?
