What does everyone do as far as painting the metal tow lines?,The Chunwai Challenger 2 i have came with
detachable real metal woven tow lines(one each side). I have noticed that many modellers paint them
to match the colour scheme of the tank.
I know that when i was in the army(R.A), regulations stated that tow lines were "To be lightly greased
and free of paint and rust".
Any thoughts on this.
PS; I remember asking a R.E.M.E recovery mech about this and told me that
tow lines had to be kept this way so that any visible damage or faults
could be easily identified.
Metal tow lines.

Re: Metal tow lines.
Hey dude,
I use the AK Interactive Metal Burnishing Fluid, # AK 159 for my tow ropes, tracks and MG Barrels. This stuff gives these items the correct sheen. Weather with a little AK rust and you got yourself a great pair of tow ropes.

I'll take some pics of the tow cables and the MG, so you can see the effect. If you do pick it up, check You-Tube and look under AK Interactive and there is a tutorial to help you along.
