Hobbyboss 1/16th tiger.

Post by Abo »

Guys, firstly, happy new year all, secondly, dunno if it already been posted but hobbyboss will be releasing ANOTHER Tiger in feb. there's no mention if it has an interior, I hope it has to go with my T34 and KT shelf queens, but at about £70 it still sounds a bit of a bargain......

Interesting. Probably too much to hope it will be a late Tiger 1

Actually it's a mid-production version - still very exciting!

I rang one of the distributors, the woman told me it was based on a Trumpeter Tiger, which I didn't know existed unless she means 1/35th. She also said that she had heard that it wouldn't have an interior and wouldn't have too much detail. I think I'll pass, I'm holding out for a Tiger 1 with full interior, perhaps one day.......

Yeah, something like David Parker's build of His Trumpeter King Tiger on network 54 would be awesome, fingers crossed, that one day Trumpeter might do it, Panther too would be good.

My initial excitement over this one soon subsided once I saw what would be coming in the box. Check out this link:

It looks like some sort of scale-up job to me!

Very nice guy at the shop though.

It's just occurred to me: isn't this just the WSN Tiger 1 in kit form without the electrics? If so that hardly makes it value for money..!
