The headlight and IR already got reduced power so don't need resistors adding. The airsoft warning LED is powered off the airsoft supply which is not restricted and hence needs a resistor. LEDs only need a few milliamperes so powering with a resistor will most likely fry it in a second.

Tankbear - Got all that, and YES! It friggin works now!. Airsoft hurts at 6 feet...PERFECT. Took a while to figure it all out. I did three weeks of homework before I bought a tank. 15 hundred for a Tamiya with all the bearings and metal was out of the question. Henglong cheapo was the way to go..and this tank aint that damn bad. Everything has it's own issues anyway. If I could get my futaba 9C super heli remote to work, that would be golden! Anywho, I like to tinker, and tinker well, as my ability allows and some good inspirations from the people on this awesome forum. Will stay in touch. Have to admit the repair/fix for the mantlet/barrel fix was ingenious on my part. Thank god for leftover parts from all aspects of RC! Darren - er Bulldog01 out for now....
P.S. next will be fine tuning to the inth degree and paint, new radio gear (9C super hopefully) or 2.4ghz and whatever else.

Thanks to all the damn good people who have helped me on this forum. I'll keep in touch....Bulldog01 out...Finally!

The yellow super lite BB's shoot damn fast!! and kinda have a mind of their own. I will pick up some of the white heavier ones and see if they shoot straighter....
