M4A3E8 Easy Eight

Post by cfredbandeira »

This is my first attempt in building a Tamiya based tank.
I chose this model because it allows wide range of changes to be made. The Sherman is perfect for those who want to have a lot of work ...
Hope you enjoy as much as I'm enjoying doing it.
I did not take many pictures because my job takes a lot of my time. But as the assembly has not been finalized, I can enrich even more this post.

You're doing a lot of work, can you post a pic of what you're going to end up with? I mean do you have a reference photo that you are using?

Youre right. Its Nicks work. The parts he produces are great. I have some pictures of models of the tank i'm building. He is a M4A3E8 Sherman (76) W "Thunderbolt VII", 37th Tank Battalion, 4th Armored Division, Germany, 1945. I did not get photos of the real tank. Only a die cast metal model from Dragon. What I seek is fun and a good hobby, so I decided to do a version of this tank without historical concerns. I just want to look good.

I have a spare T-23 Aguilar turret complete with turned aluminum barrel and accessories.

I have not had time to take many pictures of the progress of the assembly, so I decided to just show how the Tank is at the moment.

Thank you. I really like the M4A3E8 "Thunderbolt VII". All that extra armor makes it look much more dangerous. I'm now working on a Sherman with composite hull.
