panther Night vision

panther Night vision

Hello:

I saw The panther Asiatam infrared night sight for Panther commander's cupola
with Led on Walshdragon product code 577. Can this be put on a Taigen 2.4 tiger or will their be a problem?

Hi,
I cannot see why this would cause a problem with the electrics on the Tiger, its an LED light, and that should not interfere with the electronics. It would probably need its own on/0ff power supply unless you just have it as a permanently 'on' feature........ :) ....

Historically speaking ,the Tiger 1 was not fitted with the 'Night Fighting Equipment' to my knowledge...but using the 'What-If' scenario then it will not be a problem and may actually look good. :D
The part itself certainly looks to be very well made !....

IF I ever finish my 'Night Fighter 1946 Tiger 1' I will be using THIS modified boat search lamp as an Infra Red Lamp, together with at least one other I/R 'driving lamp', and probably another I/R on the turret roof for the commanders use.
The lamp will be painted and Not left in the chrome !!... :{

I will add it to the gun area and pivot it much like the soviets did on the T-54 / 55.
