New/ Freshie
Ok so I kind of started this thing off wrong. Where were my manners. I apologize. Hi My name is Donna and I don't really do anything with RC electronic hobbies. My husband does. I found this site doing a google search about RC tanks. I want to buy him a tank for christmas or his birthday, because that is the only RC item he has not done. I really wanted a man's opinion on the subject. I always see my husband on these blogging websites for answers for this and that so I thought I would do some investing myself about what kind of tank I should get him. He loves to put kits together. As of right now he has 9 unopened truck and car kits that he still has to do. So he is really into the hobby. Sorry for skipping over the rules before and not giving a little bio about myself. Any feedback on the tanks would be uber perfect!

Hi Donna,
Welcome to the forum
(and to hubby too, when you tell him
)
As others have already said, if he likes building the kits, then Tamiya is the way to go, if you don't mind spending the extra cash, the quality is well worth it. If he likes WWII then the Tiger 1 or King Tiger are good kits, if modern armour is his thing then the Leopard 2A6 is the ultimate Tamiya kit.
Again as already said he will need a transmitter and reciever(4 channel is OK for tanks) but if he already has RC trucks then he may be able to use an existing transmitter and just get a new reciever.
Anyway, best of luck with the purchase.
