Hi all. Well I have managed to get hold of a Heng Long Stug 111. I already have the ASiatam panzer chassis and wheels, but my next question is, The motor and controler that comes with the stug seems a bit hectic!! when gun fires tank jumps around to much and when running is far to fast. What does anyone recomend to change to get this right?
Also, thinking of changing the tracks to metal ones, which is the best?
And finaly ( for the moment) the stug came with the battle system, is there anyway of making it compatable with the tamiya system? as i have a KV1 from them but it needs the system fitting.
Im sure i will have some more questions soon but that will do to start!! lol

The track recoil is standard feature of the heng long and same with the gearboxes which are too fast. You can replace the gearboxes to low ratio (3:1 etc) this slows it down and reduces the unrealistic track recoil a bit. It also help with the added weight from the chassis and possibly metal track.
Just bear in mind I think the stug needs low profile gearboxes so becareful which you buy.
Also the ir battling you need the Mako board (Welsh dragon models) this will allow it to work with your tamiya tank. It wont have damage simulation like the tamiya but cant have everything.

I've just bought a set of Impact tracks for my Stug and they are absolutely beautiful. I also went for their sprockets and idlers. Make sure you order some spare links for hanging on the tank as well. Check out their website at mitosal.com
They are very efficient and friendly and postage is quick from Singapore via Fedex.
Depending on what type of Stug you're working on you will need either the mid or late pattern tracks...
