That's a bit like asking what's the best car, it all depends on what it's designed to do.
Too many variables to judge such a generalised question and that's before you include personal preferences.

Challanger 2 is deffo one of the toughest tanks out there, i remember one being hit with 14 rpgs and 1 milan anti tank missle and apart from damage to external bits and tracks was operational again in 6 hours, with no crew injured.
Also mate is saying he heard of one getting hit by 70 rpgs near basra, i think the chobam armour is deffo the most advanced armour protection in the world.

From the interview I saw one of the crew members sprained his wrist when the milan hit. (Though I think he was just trying to get out of making the brews while they waited for the AA).

it is agreed by all the known armour experts that the Leapord 2 is the currently the worlds best tank. Change some variables from speed, protection and firepower and you can argue anything.
I don't think their is a worlds best because we don't know all the techno that some tanks have.

History has also taught us that the simplest tools in the hands of a master tactician can and will triumph over superior fire power.
So, in that regard, it's not what you got, but what you do with it, that matters.
