the only reason i chose a torro was that it is 90% metal, the plastic tamiya put me off.
Now an all metal tamiya range would really be fantastic as i think alot of people would be interested in that.

I can understand your frustration and sympathise with you, however, if you purchased the tank through a third party, and if that third party are UK based like you, then your complaint should be with the vendor. It is up to the vendor to take issue with their supplier and not you. If I buy a Russell Hobbs kettle from Comet and it is faulty; I take it back to Comet and not Russell Hobbs.

This doesn't distract from the fact that the Quality control from the manufacturer is shoddy and neither should they have written such a terse reply to you.
