I am pretty sure they are screwed in from the rear, I took some photos of one as I took it apart...Since I am not using the lower hull, I dud not pull the wheels....look here, see tne notches in the arms?

Hi,

Thanks for your photo. can you label your photo so I can understand clearly. I drilled the front of the wheel and found there is some type of metal axle inside. However, I am not able to take it out as the plastic is really week.

Cheers,

not at workl....they do not unscrew from the front, they unscrew from the underside of the tank look at the back of the wheels, not the front.

Hello all.

Problem has been solved. What I did was to remove the both sprockets first. Then, for right side wheel, unscrew the bolt of the first arm and pull the arm and wheel out of the hull. Next, second, third....until eight. For the left side, you need to remove idler first and start from eight,seventh,...until the first one. I have found that the road wheel is actually connected with the arm and axle is forced into it and therefore I am not able to pull it out. However, the method I described was successful. Once I removed road wheel with arms, I can do the rest of my work. I will upload some photos tonight and state how I did that.

Update of my progress. :haha: :haha:

First step was to remove the sprocket from each side of the hull. Be careful dont force too much.

Image

Once the sprocket has been removed, you can see the bolt of first suspension arm. Remove it with great careful.

Image

Gently pull the wheel upwards until the arm is completely vertical to the hull and pull the arm with wheel out of plane. Until here, you have successfully removed the first one.

Image

Once the first wheel has been removed, you can easily see the bolt of second arm. Do the same steps described before and you can remove the second one.

Third arm..

During the removal, be careful of week plastic hull as you might damage either the hull of plastic arms which is hard to repair. Once 16 arms have been removed, you will get a clear lower hull which you can do whatever you like. For my case, I strength the hull by adding some plastic strips.
