Hi From Western Canada!

Post by Sydney »

Hi From Canada,

Hello everyone, my name is Syd, I am in process of ordering a Chunwai 1/8 scale all metal
Challenger 2 with all options.
I have helped transport the real thing(Retired railraoder) to and from B.A.T.U.S in southern
Alberta, "British Army Training Unit Suffield", 1200 Square Km training area, where British
Army do battle group live firing exercises.
I do a lot of model building, and have built amongst other things a Tamiya full option Tiger
1 kit, and I have a Hen Long Panther. I am by no means an expert though, I just like tanks.
I am really impressed by by all the models and reviews of Chunwai models.
OK, i have blathered on enough, so once again Hi to everyone!.

welcome to the forums my fellow Canuck. I think I remember Suffield, it was that really flat place with all the small trees you couldn't hide behind right? lol ask anything you want here about tanks. There are some knowledgable people lurking around here somewhere.

Welcome to the forum Sydney,

We'll have to get together when I get posted back to gods country. I'm with the PPCLI and will be up in Edmonton but the Battle Group trains alot down in your neck of the woods. I've had my Leo 2A6 down there a few times. Once again welcome.

Welcome to the forum, I have fond memories of BATUS, spent many a month sitting on the prairie either in th back of a Warrior AFV or driving the training support vehicle for Commander BATUS. So I can say with all honesty that the country is awesome but maybe not the bars and clubs in Medicine Hat!!! Looking forward to seeing the completed Challenger 2, should be a beast!

Hi Sydney,
Welcome to the Forum
You are certainly in the right place if you need any help or advice. There are lots of very experienced modelers and 'outdoor-tankers' on here so you should be able to get all the answers and support that you need. There is a search box located in the top right hand corner of the main forum banner which is useful but please feel free to ask any questions that you have.
Please can you post some photos of the 'Chunwai 1/8 scale all metal Challenger 2 with all options' ??
It sounds like it will be an amazing tank when it is ready to roll. :)
