old tiger no s&s help plz

Post by dodgydave1975 »

hello fellow tank lovers
i have a very old tiger1 with no smoke sound controller with the old horrible reciever board ,non replaceble crystals etc and a mato sherman which is quite new.basically when i switch the pair on together the tiger will not respond but the sherman works fine.if i turn the mato tx off the tiger works fine.ive tried diffrent crystals in the sherman and still have the same problem.the tiger is on 24.145mhz which has the choice of a b c on the tx.ive tried using all 3 selections with 2 diffrent sets of crystals in the sherman and still no joy.really i want to know how i can remedy this without replacing innards preferably but if its unavoidable i will have to go for the rx18 system.i am totall y new to this and have been trying to figure out what i will actually have to buy as in can i use a non smoke and sound tx circuit board with a smoke and sound reciever?i am lost.i know you have probably answered this many times but i have searched for days and havnt found the answer.i have learnt a lot whilst searching though,im just not sure which parts are best to go for and what parts i actually need.whimpers..
