AK interactive magazine

Post by Abo »

Just for your info fella's,

If you're interested in weathering your collection of armour, AK Interactive are about to publish a quarterly magazine on hints and tips on weathering. Apparently its gonna cost 8 euros (or equivelent) and should be able to be bought from high street shops. It can also be bought direct from their website too so they say. I don't doubt it will be an unashamedly plug for thier paints/washes etc as in the FAQ books but as I use them as a matter of course, any advice on how to get the best out of them helps, for me anyway.

Hi Abo ,
Thank you for the information......even if it IS a total advert for their products then principles and techniques will remain the same no matter what make of paint or wash you use....so it is worth it for that......Its not cheap at 8 Euros....but........
Thanks again,
Alb.

Mig Jimenez is one of the best static modelers around and a genuinely nice guy.

You should expect nothing but the best from him. AK is his newish company after losing MIG a few years ago.
What, me worry?

No problem mate, its AK's own page http://www.ak-interactive.com

You can either buy this quarters edition or a yearly sub.

On a slightly separate note but talking about "realistic metal", the DVD from Adam Wilder dropped on my doorstep yesterday, jeeze, can that man make plastic look like armoured steel!! Very good explanation and film showing how to make the effects to look like different types of steel used by the Germans, Russians etc for thier armour. Well worth the money. I got my copy from Historex if anyone is interested.
