Tiger 1 Tow Rope Retaining Mounts

Post by Red Devils »

Hey guys,

As you know I've been up grading my HL Tiger 1 to a Mid Prod and was wondering if any one knew if the Tow Cable Retaining mounts on the engine deck were a single block of metal with a recess cut out for the cable and a swinging bar/wing nut fastening system or were they two metal square posts with the swinging bar / wing nut fastening system. I've seen different variations on other members tanks.

Looking at the Bovington Tiger 1, I can see that the Early version used a block welded to the hull with a slight recess milled in and nothing but a simple bar with fasteners. Would this have carried on throughout productions?

Here is the Bov pics and the area that I'm looking for.

FTP is old school File Transfer Protocol, when i was hanging around the canex they used to let us have dedicated computer space where we could share ( send/recieve ) rather large files. it was meant so you could keep in touch with family pics etc, maybe DND has changed. I'll see if I can find the link I downloaded the file from.
