Hey hein! i've checked your topic out a few times, got it bookmarked for future reference

i guess the biggest problem right now is the plans that i need for the build aswell as the electronics, most of the little stops i come across will be easily fixed since i've got a big collection of reference built up thanks to you guys :p

Thats kwl man!!
If you have a scale model or blueprints of a tank, you can drwa your own plans using basic math ( The way I drew my plans, only had a picturebook)

TOP TIP : Remenber all your motors, battery and electronics must fit into your tank so it would be clever to get all the parts and components first, set them out as they would be in your tank and detirmen the scale (size) of your tank based on how much space you need

heya guys, some more progress on this thing, i've not yet done any worthwile work building it, but im planning everything out, but right now im still stuck with something, mainly how do i get the drive shaft connected to the drive sprocket? i plan on using a metal driveshaft, no groove, so i dont know how to do this. if anyone could help me out, with perhaps detailed pictures of how they did it i'd be immensily grateful!

Hi sjefke

Grub screws are normally used. You only have to flatten the shaft a little bit for the grub screw to do its job.





(dont need to drill a hole in the shaft like shown here)

You could weld or silver solder a large stainless steel penny washer to the shaft, and then bolt your sprocket to that. Makes removal easier. That's how I did it.
