torro tiger upgrade?

hi all, is there any one who has a torro tiger who knows how to take it to pieces to up grade cant see how its done dont want to damage mine in any way but fancy metal tracks ,gearbox upgrade .so tips very welcome.cheers stuart.

Just as a thought how about ringing or emailing Steve at Welsh Dragon Models ??......He sells the Tiger together with a load of upgrade for it !! I am sure that he will help you out

The Torro Tiger 1 is a very nicely detailed model of a Mid Production Tiger 1 straight out of the box but if you are looking to add detail parts you have the Asiatam, Schumo, Tank Modellbau etc ranges to choose from. Tank Modellbau do a few parts specifically for the Torro Tiger including hull MGs and track tension adjustors (these aren't currently listed in our shop but we can get them to order). Asiatam do replacement metal gears which we have in stock. Torro do metal tracks and wheels. That is about it (there is no Torro upgrade kit as such).

If you want to replace the gearboxes completely you could consider fitting Asiatam or Taigen gearboxes although this won't be as straightforward as modifying a Heng Long, there is also the possibility of using Heng Long electronics.

Have a look at this section of the forum for ideas - ''Tank Builds and Modifications - Other Builds''. There are a couple of build threads for the Torro Tiger 1 including a 'hybrid' which uses an Asiatam hull. There are also quite a few builds based on the Torro T34 (may be referred to as the WSN T34 but is basically the same tank) where you should pick up some useful tips about changing gearboxes and electronics.

the wheels track must be what they regard as the UPGRADE KIT on there site??
