Hi from Holland...

Post by DRAGONWAGON »

Hi all, my name is John 47 years old and living in the southern part of Holland, near the city of Eindhoven. I'm a modelling enthousiast, specialized in 1:35 scale Allied WWII armor.
So what am I doing here, I hear you say? Well, since I'm a true Shermaholic, I've bought Tamiya's 56014 M4(105) HVSS RC kit.
This seems to be a whole different ball-play!! No small parts, a lot of electronics and a not so well detailed kit....Thus a lot of question popped-up when I opened the box. No better place to hang out than a specialized forum with a lot of expertise.
Expect a lot of beginners questions from this side, but maybe my modelling background can add some knowledge here as well.

Will place pictures along my progress, thanks for looking...

Hi John,
Welcome to the Forum
There is certainly a lot of 'specialised expertise' as you so kindly put it on here. The level of some of the vehicles produced by members has me amazed :O ....If you need any help please just ask and in the top
Right Hand corner of the main Forum banner is a search box that is also very useful.

Thanks for the welcome guys,

Since I'm awaiting a rather BIG delivery of aftermarket stuff for my Shermie, I'll not gonna start on the actual build till these items arrive.
I've started the painting of the figure and stowage which came with the kit. The face of the figgie is painted using oils, so I will post some pics when the paint has dried (probably this weekend...)

Will post my progress in the appropriate forum.

Thanks for looking, John "McSherman"
