Re: Happy birthday VW Beetle
What a auto-mobile, My dad had one when I was little,73 bright red Supper Beetle, man it was really cool except for one thing,no A/C at all. And very little heat in the winters but a great car, easy to work on and great runner. These new ones may be more advanced, but they just seem to be missing the simplicity of the original idea for the car.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday.

Re: Happy birthday VW Beetle
Revell have recently re released thier 1/16th version of a 1951 beetle. I built a DAK version with a spare set of wheels for a kubel. I now have anothe version I'm converting to a late war/end of war ambulance although its taken its place on the back burner at present. The DAK version was an old, old kit I sourced from the late 60's so I was chuffed when I saw the re release again. Makes a change to armour.
