Hello from Pikey07. South Wales U.K.

Post by Pikey07 »

I need some advice for a newcomer to RC. Just got an HL Tiger I. I no little or nothing about RC. :problem:
I need advice as to what actually do tha R-L trim lever and the forward - reverse trim lever do? The instruction manual is vague to say the least.
Also one track seems to go out of alignment with the front cog wheel now and again. Any advice would be appreciated

Hi Pikey07

Welcome to the forum

when you move the right stick forward the tank should go forward in a strait line

if not and it turns to one side, you use the bottom trim to correct it

when you let go of the right stick

if the tank still moves a little bit and you still hear the sound as if the tank is still moving

you move the left trim to stop the tank and the sound will go back to the idle sound

as for the track you can take the track off and look down the line of wheels to see which way they line up

it may just need a small washer putting inside the sprocket or file some off the drive shaft

hope that helps

Welcome to the forum Pikey07

The trims as Jon says the ones on the left are dummy ones and dont move.

The track coming off is a common issue with Tigers. Combination of resistance of track on floor and too much play on the wheels tends to make them come out of line and then the drive wheel just pulls it out of line over the drive sprocket. Also broken or missing teeth on the drive sprocket will cause the track to come off often.
