Hi,
I've just bought my first RC model ever, HL Tiger early S&S. There seems to be a problem with the control range which is only about ten feet. I've checked the batteries, and opened up the tank to reseat all the plugs on the RX18 board and the RC RX board. I have even replaced and resoldered the aerial feed wire. The aerial is well attached to the external stub and the spade connector is tight etc. No loose wires are obvious. On the transmitter, I have tried different new batts, and the aerial is well screwed in. Both crystals seem OK and well plugged in.
I have posted this on another forun too, and somebody there said the range should be about 100 feet! All tank functions work OK when withing the ten feet range.
Any ideas?

Re: Heng Long TIGER Radio Control

I seem to have fixed it.
Loose connection/dry joint where the power cable conector is attached to the PCB in the transmitter.
Removed the socket and hard soldered the power leads to the solder places you can find by following the pcb tracks around.

How far are you able to get it to go from you now? The farthest I can get mine to go was about 20 feet.
