I have seen this before on another board, can't remember where but it has an RX18 in it which leads one to believe HL is involved somewhere.

They are a Jagdpanther lower hull with a kit superstructure which uses parts from the Jagdpanther superstructure, ie Gun, Manlet and so on. They are nothing to do with Heng Long its just a converted Heng Long tank..

That's a Jagdpanther II. It was a proposed tank destroyer based on the Panther II chassis. The gun was supposed to be either an 88 L/71 or a 128 L/55. The gun was moved to the rear to help balance out the weight, as the Jagdpanther was rather nose-heavy. It was drawn up by Krupp, but never produced. Heck, only one example of the Panther II was ever made.

Interesting vehicle, imagine the design team having to move the engine from the
rear of the Panther to the front, some serious engineering in that. Not to mention
the manufacturing, no wonder it was never built.

Reaper332 or Ken,
Very bottom of the page please please on the link, these tanks are in fact Heng Long or the maker is going to have some issues with copyright lawyers. I just could not remember where I saw them then it hit me. Awesome Hobbies has them on there site and I also seen them on a US site with the same picture.
http://www.awesomehobbies.com.au/shop/index.php there is an oops there somewhere in your posting :{

When Awesome posted this tank we asked our contact at Heng Long about the tank and it being listed on Awesome Hobbies as a Heng Long Premium tank. We were told this was not a Heng Long Production tank.

Now we find this same design in the USA at OKC and once again asked the people at Heng Long about this product,same answer it is not a production tank,but a hybrid custom,that happens to be made from Heng Long Parts.

So I posted this picture to see if others had in fact seen this tank,or heard any other Hobby News about this unique creation.Here is the link to Heng Long in China,home page web site of the company.Check it out guys,you will not find this DESERT TANK DESTROYER in the product line up.
