Well been playing with torro metal king tiger, and must say detail is fantastic, great off road.
Mate who has tamiya king tiger is very impressed at build quality and finish of this tank.
Just waiting for my taigen metal tiger 1 and my collection is finished, just the insides and few mods to do then

Thx for all the answers guys.. Torro KT looks good, inside tech is pretty much the same as the Taigen one (HL?) as far as I can tell, but it has more metal parts and I'm just a sucker for the KT looks and also the crate it comes in.. So I'll go for the Torro I think.. Just 1 question left, I live in the Netherlands, not the UK.. Anyone here maybe have an idea where I can buy it in my country? Any good RC tank shops? just stealing the topic a little but can you guys reccomend where to get a heng long stug with full metal upgrade from the UK? I cant really find any myself and dont want to wait and pay customs for shipping from US or Canada. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

I don't have a new conntact, Saxondog. He is a site owner of a "toy shop".
After spending many hours browsing the web, looking for a tank to purchase, I had bookmarked many sites.
Then I joined this forum and found the blacklist. I had most of them bookmarked, but removed them once I had read what was said about those companies.

I wanted the taigen tiger full metal upgrade. Someone else wrote in asking about said model. Up to that point, I had only found one seller who had it in stock. I then mentioned the other site (my new contact as you put it) when I contacted the owner to find out when he was getting more. All I have done since then was to update the forum after I was told. (that they were due in on 25th.)

I've no idea if he has, or doesn't have, the tank he wants. I am not connected to the site or the owner in any way.

Rest assured, if things go tits up, I will report it as such. I've never dealt with him or the site before, but he does sound honest and helpful.

Like any review of a site, take it with a pinch of salt. Take Tankzone for example... blacklisted here, but if they were so bad, would they still be online ? and no-doubt there are some people who have been extremely pleased with them.

I was only trying to save someone spending as many hours as I did to find the tank in stock, and at a good price.

If you think I am plugging them for a reason, I am not. Check for yourself. Let me know if you can find that model in the UK for cheaper... and in stock or about to be.

Personally, if you are looking for a particular make/model, then to me it doesn't really matter if I am buying it from a toy shop or an enthusiast. It will be the same tank. In this case, the cheapest I have seen.

I bought my torro king tiger through tankzone and am very happy with the service, met him at his house and picked up in person and he went through whole tank from top to bottom and even gave me discount for my fuel to pick it up.
