Looking to buy torro all metal king tiger.

Hi guys, have had heng long tiger 1 for a whilst, and found it great fun introduction to rc tanks and am looking to buy a really nice king tiger.
Was looking at tamiya, but have spotted mostly metal torro king tiger for £500, has anyone got one or tell me is it a good buy or should i stick with tamiya.

Hi guys, I'm new here and do not have much experience with RC tanks.. I'm looking to buy one and also saw the Torro KT metal edition which I liked.. It looks good, I want a KT with H turret and I like that it comes in a big crate for cool display and the paintjob is perfect for me.. I'm not a builder myself so I want a ready to go model and I don't know much about the quality etc.. Is it worth the money (that also metal edition Taigen Tiger I is less then half the price i.e.)? Can anyone here maybe give me some more info about it? I cannot find much about it on the net myself..

Hey Mate,
If it was me I would buy the Torro over the Taigen tiger it says it has recoil but they dont, it does how ever jerk back on its tracks like the H/L does to simulate recoil. The Torro will be the same but if you get the I/R one the barrel will recoil as well. The track recoil can be stopped on them with a anti track recoil unit which there are a couple on the market and arent overly exspensive..
At the end of the day its up to what you like and what you want to spend...? But I would go the Torro out of those 2 tanks.

Do not buy from a new company,just starting to sell this product,your asking for trouble,especially if their is a problem,you pay to have it shipped back,they cannot fix it so you might get another one with problems.

The thing about the recomended venders section is these venders are tankers not toy sellers,so they test the tanks,and they can give proper guidence if their is a problem. Don't let a few dollars cause you to take a risk on quality.

Buy from the venders that sell tanks,not toys. Just my two pennies worth.

Saxondog, I have already put my order in from this "toy company" I have good faith in him (Jim, the owner) and I will update this site once it has arrived.

I was thinking of also purchasing an Italian tank, but I don't want to spend hours playing with the gear-box so I can make it go forward.

I put my order in yesterday, and Jim rang me within 20 mins of order to confirm my order and said they due in at end of month, a very nice personal touch.
A torro is a very nice tank, but still unsure of spending nearly £500 in one lump sum, this way i can get nice tiger 1 with most metal upgrades and plan to fit anti recoil, el mod sounds and controller with proper recoil to the main gun for same money as torro which also comes with rx18 unit.
Upgrading your tanks i find is the most fun in this hobby, and taigen will give me chance to make it a rolling thunder machine, seen some awsome mods on this site im itching to try out.
