Was lurking in the forums and was surprised to find a fellow Malaysian. I just bought my HL Tiger 1 early this month along with metal tracks and gear box. The tanks are available from various shops, but only one shop carry spare parts. This shop is located at Berjaya Times Square. Let me know if you need more info.

Cheers.

r32 wrote:Hi, we're just down in Singapore - SG Tankies. We primarily play with Tamiya 1/16th scale tanks while there's a small following of VS Tanks coming up also.

It depends what you want and what your budget's like, I think for casual solo messing about, a Heng Long Panther or ZTZ-99 shooting pellets would be great. But if you intend to start IR gaming, my suggestion is that Tamiya's the way to go.
Hi r32,

i already buy my first RC tank (HL Tiger 1) anywhere thank for the suggestion,as a newbie i think lets i start with the cheap budget first he3 then after that i will go to Tamiya .

cheers,

good to hear there have a fellow from Malaysia so far i don't know other place then berjaya times square... maybe you should visit at Malaysia Rc here the address
http://malaysia-rc.com/index.php?topic=984.0 from that you can ask the otai2 kot...
or the other ways you can buy online... as for me I'm also bought my first RC tanks at E-bay here is the address the good things is it have 1 packages withe metal tracks , metal main driving and also metal gearbox ...
http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/1-16-GERMAN- ... 3a742d9275

hope this can help you in my personal experience using metal tracks i can see the durability and it's also make perfect to combine it with metal main driving gears... (setakat nak panjat bukit2 kecik tu tak takut lar sbb metal tahan lama tapi jgn gasak sgt...metal bukan steels )
