Hi tanked up ,
Its an impressive beast judging from the info on it !. The alloy chassis is very nice indeed...the suspension is either clever or primitive....It needs bump stops on the metal stops....
The paint on the right hand side in the 3rd photo is very poor...and is odd to see on such a 'quality' item....I have not Googled him yet but the name of ..' Garnik Ghaloostian ' sounds like a 'Joke name'..I am sure that I will get 'hammered' for that comment ! He is probably the Guru of metal chassis......but I have to be honest here and my first thought was Monty Pythons 'Life of Brian'....the Roman Soldier called
' Biggus Dickus'.....oops sorry...back to the tank...It 'ain't cheap, but if you were to call it a Tamiya but better straight out of the box then it looks like a good price. Kenny Kong is,or was, supposed to be THE track supplier with a reputation for quality that was second to none...( Again I stand to be corrected ) . So at that price it has to be worth it.....BUT....what will it sell for...I would guess... look at a full option Tamiya ( Due to the chassis and running gear) and you have an idea....You might be lucky with no one knowing who the designer is and get it cheap but equally it might go through the roof. I will certainly watch and see but do not worry......I do not want a modern tank so I WILL NOT be bidding...... :haha:
Hopefully, others will come along to add more info but I am off now to Google 'Biggus' and see who I have 'slightly and sort of' insulted by my 'joke name' comment.

No problem, Tanked up.

track set made by Kenny Kong... as if Garnik Ghaloostian wasn't bad enough. Smells a bit fishy.

Garnik does appear to be a real person though...

See that is why I asked you guys with all your knowledge and tank wisdom, I would never have picked up in some of the great points you have all pointed out, I'm new to tanks so maybe it is a little ambitious for me at this stage, I think I will be giving it a miss now but a big thanks to you guys who have had a look for me it is very much appreciated.

Hi Paul thanks for letting me know there back in stock I will be placing a order myself, the first place you told me the Taigen tiger was available I didn't like the look of as there was no phone number or address on there website which I don't trust to be honest, the second place where they are back in stock on the 25th I have already spoken to a guy there last week who told me then it will be end of may when there back in, so again thanks a million for your help, I will be reserving one for sure, cheers Gary.

Just going back to the Abrams, it's got some good components but I'm not convinced about how they have been put together. I have two sets of 1/8th scale Chieftain tracks from Kenny Kong and can confirm that they are top quality. The chassis look solid but is riding way too high, and the upper hull is poorly detailed and painted in my opinion. I would say it's a good project, but needs a fair amount of work
