Hello Dietrich!

Thanks man! hehe.Well the lathe is not mine sadly.. I aded descriptions at photobuket and now they seem to have disapeared. :/ I will ad new ones soon ;) . Jap all plywood, dowls, wire, epoxy and common sense :D I milled the barrel out of plastic 2 days ago, will ad photos (and descriptions) ;) when i have the time. The chain I used is a bit bigger than bicycle chain (6b). My wheels have a sholder cut into them and therefore roll on the chain AND NOT THE PADS thus applying no force on the weak pads ans bolts that keep the pads in place (a comman chain track failure) I wil hopefully ad videos soon!! Feel free to ask more questions :)

Great job, I particually like the speed control you've built, very ingenious!
What have you used for suspension?

Hi Jd!

I used steel pull-springs that are located on the inside of my tank as shown here. Where the swingarm shaft comes through the hull, there is an collar with a screw screwed in. The spring is conected to the screw that acts as a lever.

You have obviously got access to some pretty nice machinery to make the wheels etc. :haha: .....and its an interesting choice to have used wood / plywood to build the turret and hull out of !...can you add some description as to the build process and how you made the parts and also how the controls work ??......The Tracks look like bike chain was used as the outer parts ....???

Gt job, very interesting use of the wheel boss to act as track guides, have you tried the tracks out under power, how is it for throwing tracks using them without guide horns ?.
Great minds think a like I have a part.built scratch 1/8 scale leo 1a 4 just building up the all steel scratch tracks a right pain, your chain and pads and no guide horn solution looks great.

Hi sub!
I have been dirving around and field testing my tank for about a week now, going where no tanker normally would. The track system is working better than I think it would ;) I have had track throw about 3 times but it was because of my suspention being to soft, not the right track tensioning and just plain driving at insane angles :) I would like to see your tank some day.
