New Mid Tiger 1

Hello guys, as some know I have a new Tiger and I am turning it into a MID Tiger. This is what I got so fare. I have a Mato 3:1 gearbox that is not pictured but I will post soon. Hope you like and advice is wanted.


The wheels are paint in Primer cause I need to order late tiger wheels




Trying to make paint chips!!


After cutting off the head lights, I made a mount with Platic Card and mounted it on the front. UPDATE: After a little thought I have order the late Tiger light and will replace it.

















I still have a lot of chipping to do and so on, but the paint is coming along well I think. Upgrades are coming soon like asiatam metal hull and wheels and track and much, much more!!

I see a couple issues you may or may not want to correct.....

late tigers has a loadeds parascope, different comanders capola, a selfdeffance weapon in the top of the turret, the turret vetalator was in a different loactaion, the loaders hatch had the handle to the side not in the middle, there was a triangle access pannel on the rear motor deck and a added air vent under the crew cargo bin, there was a turret seam pretection ring, the airel is in the wrong loaction, the top of the turret needs the added extra plates...and that hl head light really needs to be trimed flat.....

What I suggest is you make the tank part of Gruppe Fehrmann that was put togather near the end in 45....they were a bunch of tigers that were put togather out of parts that were in the factory repair area....here is a nice thread on them...

love you paint work...some flat clear will take the shine off the pant.

Thanks for the info, most of it is planned in the future once I can figure out how to make it happen and where to buy the parts from. I like the paint job, I thought it came out nice. There is a flat clear coat on it, but my wifes camera is so good it makes it look shiny, lol.

All late Tiger Turret upgrades have been ordered and will soon be here. Will post pic when I start working on it.

Ok guys, most of my upgrades are complete, here are some pictures. I've got metal tracks, sprocket wheels, Idle wheels, 3:1 Mato Gearbox, and late Tiger metal upgrades. Hope you like the work.


I painted to controller in the same camo pattern.


Replaced the old head light with this metal one from Welchdragon.


Metal hatches are installed now.




Got the barrel extension from Welch also.


Late Tiger turret add-ons from Welch also.


Add the extra tracks which also came from Welchdragon.


I need to do more weathering since I add and repaint certain portions of the hull.
