Hi Mate,

You could try the cotton/Kite string method, that's how i do all my cutting. There was a post in tips and tricks on how to do it and it works really well. Just remember to go SLOW and you won't have a problem. If you can't find the thread drop me a PM and i'll go through it with you step by step.Found it, "Cutting Hatches and Panels out with Thread" on page three of tips and tricks.

Cheers,

Ace

A nice sharp razor saw will do the trick for the fenders and front mudguards. Cut a bit wide then use a sanding block - cork is best - and fine grade sandpaper. The hull is robust enough to take pretty rough handling. The dremel will do it too, but it's messy and you will have a lot of melted plastic to clear away after. I have recently dealt with the front hatches on my mid-production Normandy Tiger post.

Hi!
Thank you for the answers.
I was off for few days and I went in Paris to buy few model stuff.
I have a professional dremel and, workink on the turret I had the problme of he melted plastic. I will use the razor and the ultra strong cotton yarn I found in the french capital (it seams a bit as a fishing yarn even if it is in cotton!!!).

I would like to thank sdpecially Tanks x the memory for the really interesting and full of infos post about the construcion of his Normandy Tiger.

Cheers,

Gianfranco.

Nice to hear that...

Just to let you know, I started cutting the fenders and the hatches...they are now part of my memories...
I cutted all the tools too...
I can't watch now the hull...I really need to use a lot of putty....

Do you have Idea of how to reproduce the inside part of the tank, visible from the rear motor grids or, do you have any pics that can clearly show how to reproduce it??

Many thanks in advance..

Cheers,

Gianfranco.
