Hi all,
Have just received some low ratio gears and motors for my heng long tiger 1, all fits In ok but when I powered up the motors turn In the wrong direction than the controller
Is it just a case of reversing the polarity around by swapping the pos and negs on the motors?
Hiya nath , look at the motors , there are three 'openings' on one side , the black (-) wire goes there , the red (+) goes next to the single hole on the other side .
Being low ratio there is an additional gear to the standard box which means "forwards" now goes "backwards" so you will need to swap the wires over so it runs correctly, when I have done my own low ratio conversion (diy instructions on this site) I had to do this, I did it by cutting the wires and putting fuses in the leads enabling me to easily swap the leads over as I made the connections, I did it to protect my RX18 from burning out should a track get jammed which can blow the RX18 if not protected this way.
