problem with the smoke generator

Post by Willhob »

Hi,

I bhought recently two units of proportional smoke generator for HL Tanks and I got the following issue:

when I connect them to the RX18 first time they work.
If I switch off the tank, they don't work anymore.
Only is I push a bit the rubber pistons of the pump, they work again.
How to solve this problem??
I thought maybe it is the electric motor that is not strong enough to start running.
I bought I 4800 ma battery and it is always the same...

I will gently appreciate your help.

thanks

Gianfranco (Will)

I found this on a proportional unit, it is as if there isn;t enougth juice to get the piston going to start with. I found if you started the drive motors this gave the piston more power (for the faster working) and this was enough to set it going. Then when it dropped back to ideal it worked fine.

You could also try adding some grease to the piston to reduce friction.
