I have 20ft of waste land at the end of my garden. its normally dumping ground on these long gardens. today ive been land scaping, i hate gardening with a passion, have two big mounds of dirt, so dug a trench between, built a bridge, you know where this is leading, doubt i`ll get serious speed, but it will test my driving skill.
looking at tamiya full option kits, i am finding the lesser kits confusing, dont know what is needed to finish them.

It's normally extra electronics and turret motors, recoil units and elevator,flash unit. These kits normally give you the basic tank with motors,all the cosmetics are there. The electronics can be very expensive to purchase separately,so my personal preference is to go for the FULL OPTION kits, they are pricey but if you look around and do some digging there are bargains out there. There is a post on here called vendors blacklist, my pay to give this the once over before you part with your cash.

Thanks ace,firstly I may have had the better tank (pro) but speed was problem on shiny floor, i will be finding bbs for months, so i guess i lost....have bought many car kits, tamiya,kyosho,so understand the logic in full option, because I am new to tanks it will be the way forward, once i understand how they work/build then the lesser kits with the mods to customise. so full option it is,next question.. battle upgrade, understand only useful in proper battlefield, ie comp

I haven't got to the battle stage yet with mine, but most of the boys on here have. There are quite a few posts in the electronics and general section of the board index on this subject so have a look through these posts and if you need any more info just pm one of the guys, they will give you all the advice you need.

tested my 2 HL` s to destruction, both in need of repairs, wheel fell of one, under inspection had no screw holding it on...lol, the pro keeps slipping of the tracks, gear wheel i can pivot, so i caught that just in time. have stripped one for painting, needed 3 different sets of t10 screw heads to shift the wheels. see what you mean by quality. the non pro is an indoor only, i was warned. the pro was better outside, gripped better and handled the shingle, i have had a fun day still, I hope the tamiyas have more go in them.
