Panzer IV track adjustment.

Post by panzernut »

I just bought a used Heng Long Panzer IV. My question is, how do you adjust the track tension. I think I know where it is located, at the rear idler wheel on the outside of the tank, but before I screw it up, I thought I'd ask for help. The tank was painted a milky white/yellow. I have since repainted it and will post photos as I go along. It came with metal tracks, idler and sprocket in metal, 3:1 Mato gears, metal suspension, metal barrel and Aisatam recoil system. It's missing the front machine gun(easy fix), and some small detail parts. Only paid $185 for it. Runs very nicely. Smoke and sound as well. Any help on the tracks would be appreciated. Thanks as always for your help.

Hi if it's a standard henglong panzer IV there is no track tentioner its only for show at the back and not a tentioner if the track is too slack try taking a link off and see if that helps.

If you are interested in having adjustment, Phil at RCtankwars sells an adjuster for the Panzer IV. It works really well and is simple to install.
