what tank ?

hello i am completely new to rc tanks and i was thinking of buying a heng long panzer iv or the kv1 they are both £100 on modelzone i know someone who has both of these and i only like the colour that has the ir system that grey/navy colour i was wondering does anyone know what paint they used or a similar colour so i could spray which ever tank i get that colour and was also wondering wich out of them two tanks is the best ?

Welcome.....what are you going to use the tank for? Do you want a tank that shoots bb's or one set for IR battle with barrel recoil?

I have used the hl king tiger, tiger,panther, and kv1( all heavy tanks).....I do not recomend the tiger 1, the others are great. Try to get the tanks that have smoke and sound, these have a better control board and multi speed motors. Metal tracks are nice but they tend to put more wear and tear on the tanks.

Welcome to the world of RC tanking
First up, Don't bother with NITROcrap, I mean TEK... Poor customer service and the Taigen tiger I bought from them was DOA. Bad RX-18 (Main control board). There was also other problems with the tank, lucky for me I'm handy with a soldering iron.

I would try and buy one from either PANZER_COMMAND on ebay, Or the mighty FORGEBEAR also on ebay both are 100% percent truthworthy dealers.

hello and thanks for the welcoming hmm im sorta tied between the kv1 and the panzer iv i do love the panzer iv in grey but i dont want the ir system reason for wanting the paint and all i would use it for is going up to wood really just a bit of fun and something different ive got rock crawler touring cars buggys so i though id give tanks ago i think shooting bbs is cool especially form a tank but im tied ive seen both of them in person i like the size and suspention system better then i like the panzer iv's but i prefer the looks of the panzer what should i do ?

The mighty E bay is a good place to get a cheap tank to start playing with and as you get into it reading more and more threads on here then you will start modding your model and repainting will become the norm there r plenty of threads about painting and modding and as for colours used this is a great source for tigers http://www.alanhamby.com/tiger.html

Hi Dredd , welcome to our little world - have you considered an Airsoft S+S Pz 111 ? ( It is just a earlier , lighter version of the Pz 1V ) comes in grey too , and is a fine subject . The smoke and sound version will have a better controller , with optional crystal / frequencies .

• The KV is a good solid tank , but it's long wheelbase can limit manoverability in the rough ( just like the real thing )

The Bullbog , Perhing / Snow Leopard are good runners as well and don't cost the earth . - If you intend to do serious off roading , low ratio gearboxes will really help .

hmm yeah i have seen the panzer iii im just like the size of the kv1 , typical rc nut me i do love thye kv1 i really dont know aha
