Anyone make a Patton Tank?

I've been looking to find some tanks other than the big 4 of american tanks that are out there. I did find Chunwai make a M60 Patton but The wife would divorse me if I spent that kind of money. Are there any other options? Maybe a static kit conversion?

I am scratch building a 1/8th M26 Pershing tank which is very much like a Patton.

I should have made it in 1/6th scale though. There are no parts available in 1/8th scale.

I was looking at photo and there did not seem to be that much difference between the Pershing and Patton M48 but only getting one view. I thought I saw a Banadi 1/24 static model but very expensive- $300 +. From the photo it looks like only the Turrent is different - Is that correct?

The M48 Patton is substantially different from the M26 Pershing. The biggest differences are the hull front and the turret. The Patton's hull front is a semi-circular cast structure that looks a LOT like the front of a M-103 Heavy tank. Meanwhile, the Pershing has a sloped front.

If you were to make a Patton out of a Pershing, your best bet would be to aim for an M-46 or M-47 Patton. The M46 is just an improved Pershing, while the M47 has a new glacis form and turret type.

Radio Control Custom Tanks has a 21st Century M-48 Patton conversion on their web site. It is 1/18th but you can't tell the difference alongside of a 1/16th tank
