zim help agian.
guys, doing the zim on the KT, but cant find a good pic on how it goes round the mantlet/ front of the turret. seems to go in radial lines round the bottom of the barrel mantlet area , but how does it go on the front of the turret around the machine gun? is it the same as the on one the glacis where it has radial ines round it? also how does it go round the back and the big hatch? cant find a pic any where ongoogle that shows it clearly. might just be me being a numpty searching for stuff.

Do yourself a couple favors when doing this....
1) use green miliputty or die the puddy dark gray.....I did my turret in white and with the tank being a fighter, any scratches = paint touchup....
2) It is much easier to take the turret off and take it apart....the hardest part is the rear escape hatch. I removed mine and did it off the turret.
Other things of note....the pistel ports should be clean and hl omitted the pistel port on the loaders side( I found this out after I painted mine
). On the rear excape hatch, the pintie bolts should be clear as the zimmerit was put on the hatch assembly before it was mounted on the turret. On thinkness of the zimmerit, the zimmerit got thinner as the war went on, the kt had a very thing coat...........have fun

hmmm fun. not lol. using the green putty bud, hopefully going on thin enough but as it going to be really battered and weathered should be ok. didnt know about the pistol port on the loaders side, is it in about the same position as the one on the commanders side?
