SINGLE piece side turret hatches Pzr III & IV !!

Post by Dietrich »

Hi Guys,
I was just looking through YouTube and as I always seem to do ......got side tracked in some excellent WW 2 German tank footage. It contains some shots that show without a doubt that the Panzer III and Panzer IV had single piece side turret hatches fitted.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgKunHGw ... re=related Look at this at 0.59 at 1.06 and at 1.08.....there is a SINGLE PIECE DOOR on the side of the Panzer IVs and at 1.45 it looks like a one piece side door on the Panzer III................After all these years and I never realised......So you learn something new every day..... :haha:
..............It seems a much better and easier solution than the double doors which are more usually seen....

a lot of that footage was "colorized" and not originally color film, so I believe that is where the odd colors come from. When everything that is green all seems uniformly green, that usually indicates a colorized frame
