NoBrainer finaly found this site....

Post by NoBrainer »

Hi, I'm new to this site.

My name is Lasse and I'm from Norway. Right now I'm 38 1/2 years old, got 2 daughters and 1 ex-wife.
Been doing rc since 2008, when I finaly got old enough to by my own stuff.
Been wisiting RCUniverse and HobbyHavoc often in the past, but my tank hobby was put on ice...
GMV and Maxmekker here started to show of there work and I got interrested again.

I don't like things that all others are doing. I don't like just the kit. I need to do something with everything I buy. I don't mean that since "everybody" is doing a KT I don't like it, since so many of you are doing fantastic work, but I mean I don't won't a KT since "everybody" else is doing it. Or else I woulden't have it as a hobby.
I do not have the patience to do everything "correct", but I try to correct the big things.

I done 1:10 rc crawling, 1:10 rc scaler, 1:10 rc off-road and on-road, 1:27 Mini-Z, 1:14 rc trucks, 1:16 rc tanks, tried helicopters.
I like the 1:10 scaler 4x4 and tanks the most, because of all the things you can make.
But I do run Kyosho Mini-Z the most. Got my own track at home and one at work.

When it comes to tanks, I would like a Tamiya next. I have had 1 HL Bulldog and 2 HL Tigers. Just got 1 HL Tiger left now and hoping to get it done by the summer. There is two / three tanks I really want and they are T-72, M113 and / or Bradly.
But I just can't get those in 1:16 from a shop yet, without ruining myself....

But now it's a enough "chatter", I have to look and see if I can get me a Tamiya tanks to play with.

Best regards Lasse aka NoBrainer

T(h)anks guys!

After reading all night, it seems like I'm not the only "nut case", so I think this will be fine.
Only thing that's not so good about the forum, is the missing pictures from before some time in 2009.
There are some pictures I would love to see, since the discussion is so great.

Hi NoBrainer,
Welcome to the Forum
Its a pity about some of the earlier photos, they were lost when the site had a crash and could not be recovered, only the words ......This threat has been eliminated from happening again thanks to our Brilliant Admin Team of Matt and Scooby,! The site runs a secure server and EVERYTHING is backed up ,so even if a member loses his photos once they are posted onto the site they are still safe !!!
There is a search box located in the top right hand corner of the main banner but if that does not help then just post a question and you can be certain that help will soon be at hand. If you want to do something a bit different are you any good at scratch building...as there are plenty of options there...or how about a Hetzer.....I believe that a member is considering making a kit...so that might be worth thinking about.
One of our members and advertisers Chris3 also known as .... ..............

...................makes a kit for the Elefant in 1/16th and the quality of the kit is simply superb with the option of plastic or aluminium.
