Sherman and Tiger 1 turrets
Two interesting new products to report here. Schumo have released a super detail turret kit for the M4A3E8 Sherman -

From Asiatam comes a metal turret for the Tiger 1 which incorporates the Asiatam recoil system -
http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/asia ... 1665-p.asp
Both products are on order and are expected in stock soon. We will also have some more new items from Schumo's new range of products in white metal (similar to their regular products but in white metal rather than nickel silver, so much cheaper).

hello mate glad you have these now was thinking of buying a tiger 1 from the usa till i had to pay customs
fetch me the kitty's lets go to war
Re: Sherman and Tiger 1 turrets
Wish I knew about the tiger turret last month when I bought the recoil unit. Would of held out for the turret as good value considering the cost of all the bits seperately.

Re: Sherman and Tiger 1 turrets
The Schumo Sherman turret kits are now in stock. We also have the Asiatam metal Tiger turrets although they sent us a version which is supplied complete with a plastic upper hull -
http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/asia ... 1668-p.asp
The hull incorporates opening metal driver's and loader's hatches, metal mg with led and working metal headlights, there is also a turret rotation motor. This represents even better value than the turret on its own, and is ready for installation on a Taigen / Asiatam lower hull.

Re: Sherman and Tiger 1 turrets
Looks like they have corrected the stowage bin sides to the correct angle
, but looks to me like the commander's hatch isn't lined up correctly
, so correcting that depends on how it is constructed.
Pretty good value though when I look at what I have spent on my two Tigers to achieve the same detail with recoil, metal hatches, upgrades etc, and you get a heavy weight turret as well!

Re: Sherman and Tiger 1 turrets
It is worth noting that the plastic upper hull is a big improvement on the Heng Long hull. The aerial socket is now in the correct position, there are added details such as butterfly screws either side of the hull MG, details are sharper and there is casting structure and weld line definition. The only downside I can see is that the tools are still moulded on. The turret also has weld lines and has fitted ''Pilze.'' Used in conjunction with the new Taigen lower hull and Asiatam tracks and wheels this will build into a great model!
