Hi,
I use a Futaba Skysport 4 with mine, although I can't remember how you turn the stabeliser on and off,(havn't used it for a while), I do know I didn't have any problems with it, just followed the instructions and all worked well.

what receiver do you use with it
It doesn't matter, as long as its Futaba and the crystals match in the hand set and receiver, but if you get a 4 or 5 channel it will cut your cost down.

I think the 6's have digital trims, and thats where the problems arrise with the Tamiya electronics, all the little extras like turning lights on/off and the stabaliser (as far as I remember) need you to put the trim in a certain position and give the sticks a quick flick, and thats not so simple (or quick) with digital trims, so check first.

I use 2.4 digital trims, with tamyia ,and to get round this trim issue configure the tamyia electronics to 100% on all sticks..

Then go into your hand set and move what ever channel you have e.g. cannon fire to to 150% servo travel. that way slow movement up will raise main gun..quick stick up will fire main cannon..No trims needed.

The quickest fix I have for you guys to get around the trim shifting issue is to NOT push full stick travel when you are doing your set up (for your turret traverse and gun elevation). Just push your stick to 50% of its extent during set up. That way, you have your special functions available at the flick of a stick and all you need to do is to pay attention not to push your control sticks too far.

I just Bought a Planet 2.4 ghz set from my LHS at £59.99 for the transmitter and reciever it was a bargain. I just could not get my Hitec lazer 4 to work on my Panther. Its got normal trims too.
