Mako Unit

Post by Reaper332 »

Yesterday I brought 2 Mako units from Kevin at rctanksaustralia and installed them in my H/L KV 1 and my H/L Stug 111 both installs were a piece of cake simple plug and play have tested them with my 2 Tamiya tanks, a Kt and a KV 1 both Tamiya's shot and were by both H/L's and visa / versa and one of the Tamiya's has the Impact 2 shot kill in it which worked fine with the Mako unit. I will be doing more testing between now and the MBRTCI first battle day on sunday the 19th Feb which I will have both H/L's there to battle with everyone.

Ok did some more testing today my wife and myself had a battle both of my Tamiya tanks and the 2 H/L's, the mako unit in the H/L's performed great they shot one another plus they also shot the Tamiya's. The range that I was getting out of the H/L's was bout 8 meters which is plenty for battling.

Very nice. Keep up the good work. For us here in the Uk i think the postage will be the killer for us on this.

Hi Caddyshack not sure bout the postage on them as I have the first 2 which are bout the size of a business card since talking with Kevin he has redesigned it and the next lot should be bout 25% smaller then mine so postage may not be such a problem.

Agree postage could make it expensive to some here in the UK. But sure if there is enough interest in the product may be able to organise a group buy or something to minimise shippig costs. Or see if one of supporting venders will stock them?

moin

i have some questions about the mako unit,
normaly its posible to tell the battel unit in wich tank your are driving Light, Medium, Havy
havy tanks do have a relodetima about 9sec and can be hit 9 times bevor out of order, medium 6sec and 6times, light 3sec and 3 times.
these are standart rouels at rc tank battels because all tamiya and Elmod BUs working like that.
i m asking because im searching a new easy Battelunit for the heng long tangs because the old god EGS isnt produced any more.

Hi Christian, No mate the H/L tanks keep there five hits that doesnt change, the mako unit can tell whether its a Tamiya I/R code or a H/L I/R code and registers the hit from either.
