Tamiya/specktrum

Post by caddyshack »

Hi all

Looking for some help off you wiring wizards out there :D

Have all the tamyia wired to the dx7 and it works just fine, but heres the prob :-

When you turn the hand set off, the tank/sound system will not shut down..has to be done from the on/off switch. Now some will say whats wrong with that...well you are then getting the cold start sound only all the time, not the fast hot start sound.

The on off main switch am going to use a micro servo to switch on/off (gear channel)..

Now am guess that the 2nd hot start sound will not come in because of spektrum's model match system they use..

Does any one know a way round this?

Well i have found out how to do it..if you don't do this mod the tamyia battel system will also be affected.

What it does is putting your tank into sleep mode.

I didn't like to post a link to another forums unless an admin says its ok to do so.

Its been working just fine.
All this misconceptions about the Dx range not working with the tamiya systems is just not so.
The Dx7 works just fine with all parts of the tamiya system. Then you have left over channels to make or add other things to work.
