Wires damaged!!!!

Post by slaychild »

Two of my wires in the tank were cut when I closed it up. What is the best way to fix them. Is it ok to strip them and reconnect and wrap with electrical tape or should I buy new ones? :O

What wires were they ? Yes you should be able to solder them back together then i would use some heat shrink tube on them to cover the join.

slaychild, Do you have a Harbour Freight store in your area? They sell a precut size assortment of heat-shrink wiring repair kit, with hear shrink soldering is best, but with the thin gauge wiring in these tanks you could strip the wire slide the heat shrink over one wire twist them together and heat the shrink cover the joint, this should hold.

Thanks guys. One of the wires is the black wire to the motor and the other is the black wire going to the battery.
