a mate of mine just sent this pic of the falaise gap retreat! this is one of the best WWII paintings i have seen and thought i would share it with you, right click on the pic and save it to have a proper look at the full scene.

Look at the head lights. When the head light was moved to the front armor from the hull deck, the shovel brackets were no longer installed.....or so I have read.....fantastic painting, you friend really good.
Superb painting, its now my desktop background. The retreat from the Falaise Gap must surely be made into a film someday, hopefully if they do use CGI they will do the research first!
Fantastic pictures Tony. Is that my Wirbelwind brewing up at the rear of the column !! My late father would kill me if he knew I modelled Gerry Armour. He was an RAF armourer during WW2 with the second tactical airforce and he actually bombed up the Typhoons (Tiffys) that wacked the German armour at Falaise.
Do you realize how much I hate this uniform and all it stands for. ( Cross of Iron )
